1-3/4" OAL This gun is based on an Ives, cast
iron,
blank gun named "Banner". The original, which dates from 1882, looks
like
an old cast iron Cap Gun but is actually a
blank
firing pistol. On the original, the swing over breech cap had a
nipple
on the inside of the back plate, which was slammed into the
rimfire
cartridge when the hammer struck it.
I chose this gun because I wanted to offer a
less
expensive pistol. The gun's simple design, its lack of plating, or seperate
grips
all help keep the cost down.
My version has
been
modified to use the 2mm pinfire cartridge. It is solid cast brass, finished
with
brass black to give it an aged patina. This gun is numbered
on
the back of the breech arm
