      I've been teaching art at theUniversity level for over thirty years, but it has only been in  the past six years that  I've gotten back to painting the figure and thelandscape.  My work is very traditional.  I enjoy  all stylesof art, but obviously, most prefer works which are "painterly".  Painters like Sargent, Trevor Chamberlain, and Kevin McPherson.  Below are someof the paintings  done over the past few years.  Many are small studies, painted either on site, or from sketches and photo's taken on my travels.
